Who We Are — The Story Behind At The Cross Community

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
— Hebrews 11:1

Every movement begins somewhere. Every brand has a heartbeat behind it. Every community starts with one person who believed something was possible before anyone else could see it.

This is ours.

Where It Began

At The Cross Community was born in Aberdeen, Scotland — a city known for its granite buildings, North Sea winds, and a quiet kind of resilience that runs deep in its people. But the vision was never just for Aberdeen. It was never just for Scotland. From the very beginning, it was for the world.

The idea is simple, but the conviction behind it is profound: every person who has ever stood at the foot of the cross has arrived there through a story of their own. And those stories — raw, honest, unscripted — are the most powerful thing the church has ever had to offer a searching world.

We exist to make sure they are told.

What Is At The Cross?

At The Cross Community is two things held together in one mission.

The first is a testimony platform — a growing space where real people from across the United Kingdom, India, the United States, and every corner of the globe share their faith journeys. Not polished sermons. Not rehearsed answers. Real encounters with God — shared on camera, through our podcast, and in written form — so that the one person who needs to hear it most will find it.

The second is a faith-inspired clothing brand — premium, minimalist Christian apparel designed to spark real conversations. Our pieces are not loud. They do not shout. They carry a quiet, deliberate message: that faith is not something to be hidden, but something to be worn, carried, and shared. Every purchase directly supports the At The Cross mission and the community we are building together.

We believe these two things belong together. When you wear At The Cross, you are not just wearing a garment. You are wearing a statement. You are part of a movement of people who refuse to keep their testimony to themselves.

Rooted Locally. Reaching Globally.

We are proud of our Scottish roots. Aberdeen gave us our beginning — its community, its grittiness, its faith. The UK faith community is one we love deeply, and we are committed to serving it well. All of our UK orders are fulfilled locally through our Birmingham print facilities, which means fast delivery, no import fees, and a smaller environmental footprint for our British customers.

But the cross was never meant to stop at any border.

The testimonies we carry come from Edinburgh and Nairobi. From London and Lagos. From Aberdeen and Auckland. We ship worldwide because faith is not a regional phenomenon — it is a human one. Whether you are searching in the suburbs of Manchester or the streets of Mumbai, if God has shown up in your life, your story has a home here.

This is what it means to be rooted locally and reaching globally.

Inspired by Hebrews 11

The eleventh chapter of Hebrews is often called the "Hall of Faith" — a long, unflinching account of ordinary people who believed God when it made no earthly sense to do so. Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Moses. Each one named. Each one remembered. Each one carrying a story that the writer of Hebrews considered too important to leave untold.

"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them."
— Hebrews 11:13

At The Cross is built on the conviction that this chapter is still being written. God has not stopped showing up in the lives of ordinary people. He has not stopped redeeming, restoring, and revealing Himself in ways that take your breath away. The stories are still happening — in quiet bedrooms, hospital wards, university halls, and city streets across the United Kingdom and the world.

We just need people willing to tell them.

Our Mission, Vision, and Values

Mission: To build a global community where believers share testimonies and encourage one another — reminding the world that God is still at work in ordinary lives.

Vision: A platform where people from every nation share their journey of faith and remind the world they are not alone.

Values: Faith. Authenticity. Community. Humility. Hope.

We do not require perfection. We do not ask for polished answers. We do not gatekeep who gets to share their story. If you have a story — a real moment where God showed up in your life, however small or however dramatic — that story belongs here.

What We Do

Practically speaking, At The Cross operates across several channels:

The Testimony Platform. Our flagship community feature — a growing collection of written testimonies and recorded stories from guests around the world. Real people. Real faith. No scripts.

The Podcast and YouTube Channel. We sit down with guests — online, on camera — and give them the space to tell their story at their own pace. Every episode is reviewed and approved by the guest before it goes live. Nothing is published without full permission. You can find us on YouTube at At the Cross Community and on Instagram at @atthecross.

The Clothing Line. Premium, minimalist faith-inspired apparel — designed in Scotland, fulfilled across the UK and worldwide through our print-on-demand partners. Clean lines. Quiet messages. Wearable testimonies that spark real conversations.

The Community. The heart of everything. A growing global family of people who are seeking, doubting, believing — and everything in between. You do not need to have it all figured out to belong here.

A Word About Who This Is For

We get asked this a lot: Who is At The Cross for?

The honest answer is: anyone who has a story.

You do not need to be a pastor. You do not need a theology degree. You do not need to have had a dramatic conversion experience. You just need a moment — a real moment — where God was present in your life. That is enough.

We especially want to hear from people who feel like their story is not important enough to share. The quiet ones. The ones who have never stood at a pulpit. The ones who have wrestled with doubt and come out the other side with something fragile but real. Those are the stories that change people's lives — because those are the ones that sound most like their own.

Join Us

If you are reading this from somewhere in the United Kingdom — from Scotland, England, Wales, or Northern Ireland — know that this community was built with you in mind. We understand the particular texture of British faith. The quietness of it. The way it rarely announces itself. The way it persists, quietly and stubbornly, even when the culture around it has moved on.

And if you are reading this from somewhere else in the world — welcome. You are exactly who this is for.

We are just getting started. The first testimonies are being gathered. The first stories are being recorded. The clothing line is being built. The community is forming — slowly, faithfully, in the way that all good things are built.

If you have a story to share, email us at letsconnect@atthecross.co or visit our Lets Connect page.

If you want to wear your faith, shop our collection at atthecross.co/collections/all.

And if you are still searching — still not sure what you believe or whether any of this is real — you are welcome here too. Some of the best testimonies start exactly where you are right now.

At the Cross exists for one reason: to make sure the stories are told.
